VENICEMARATHON 2024

the VeniceMarathon starts on October 27th

which in 2024 will take the name of the sponsor Wizz Air (third Italian airline)

with headquarters in the San Giuliano park in Mestre

There will be around ninety countries that will follow the 38th edition of the “Wizz Air VeniceMarathon” via TV on Sunday 27 October

This year too, the program of the event is very rich which starts on Saturday 19 October, at Villa Venier Contarini in Mira, with a conference entitled “Riviera del Brenta and Venicemarathon: a winning combination!”

The inauguration of the now traditional “Exposport Venicemarathon Village”, the Sports and Leisure Fair, is scheduled for Friday 25 October at 12pm in the San Giuliano park in Mestre


Finally, on Sunday 27th, there will be room for the race, or rather, for the races:

-at 10 am the VM10K will start from San Giuliano Park in Mestre, a competitive and non-competitive race over the final 10 km of the marathon in which 7,500 athletes will take part;

-at 8.45 it will be the turn of the “3. Venice Half marathon”, international half marathon starting from Piazza Ferretto in Mestre and finishing in Riva Sette Martiri, with 4,500 runners;

– finally, at 9am the classic race “38” will start. Wizz Air Venicemarathon”, which will take place on the stupendous and now classic route that from Stra, through the Brenta Riviera, the San Giuliano di Mestre Park, the translagoon bridge and the streets and squares of Venice, will take the 6,000 athletes to the finish line final, in Riva dei Sette Martiri

A total of 17,500 athletes at the start of the various competitions, with 40% of participants coming from abroad, but also 40% of women, demonstrating how cross-country skiing and middle-distance running are growing even among women And to them must be added the participants of the collateral events, such as the Family run and the various races that are organized by VeniceMarathon during the year, which always record the “sold out” of registrations
